Job DescriptionJob Description

The position will act as the primary engineer for a dedicated set of clients, becoming intimately familiar with their networks and environments. It will be responsible for networking, infrastructure, cloud, and Windows operating systems, providing top-level technical support, performing onsite proactive visits, and leading the resolution of complex issues. This individual will be a key team member to facilitate new locations coming on board by doing initial environment assessments, doing project design and implementation along with providing high level support for the environment. The primary duties will include maintenance of servers, computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. As Network Engineer, you will

  • Maintain computer networks including firewalls, VPNs, switches, Wi-Fi and other security infrastructure.
  • Install and configure network equipment and assist in new facility assessments and on boarding.
  • Update virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
  • Troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems and to communicate networking issues to other employees and management.
  • Implement disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
  • Manage and train Tier I and Tier 2 support technicians.

We would like to speak with you if you:

  • Have 5 – 10 years of experience in network administration and managing a team of support technicians.
  • Have in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking services such as TCP/IP, VLANS, VPNS, Wi-Fi and other security services.
  • Are able to implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Able to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and to provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
  • Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can communicate and work with all levels of the organization and relay technical information in non-technical terms.
