Position Summary
As a reputable leader in the fire suppression and fire detection industry, United Graphics is seeking a qualified Printing and Production Assistant to join our dedicated team. The Printing and Production Assistant will be responsible for operating and maintaining direct-to-garment and direct-to-film printers, as well as other apparel augmentation equipment. This role focuses on producing graphic designs on various types of clothing for firefighters throughout Arizona.
Duties:
- Set up printers according to established company guidelines for safe operation and individual job requirements.
- Monitor print supplies and garment inventory min/max levels and communicate the need for replacement with the Production Leader.
- Pick products from the warehouse for labeling and order processing.
- Pretreat and dry garments before production.
- Print job(s) maintaining optimum production rate, color density, and registration to meet company quality standards.
- Heat cure printed product.
- Determine work priorities and expedite workflow.
- Perform regular maintenance of print devices and responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the production facility.
- Coordinate with the Production Leader and equipment manufacturers when extensive repairs are required.
- Assist with inventory, cycle counts, and quality control of received shipments.
Qualifications:
- Must have normal color vision (trichromats)
- Ability to use a ruler as well as work with measurements in fractions and decimals
- Excellent focus on quality assurance to minimize waste
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and exceptional time management skills
- Must be a self-starter and team player
- Problem solving skill.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
SCHEDULE:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Extended shifts possible during peak production
JOB TYPE:
- Full-time
- Pay: $17.00/hour

- Able to regularly move and carry and lift product and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and stand for long periods
