Compensation:$22 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:- Audit customer bills and invoices for completeness and seek additional payer information, as needed
- Prepare invoices, reconcile billing, compile reports and other documents using billing software, and field related questions from internal teams and customers
- Respond quickly to customer and colleague inquiries related to account status, outstanding charges, and billing activity
- Work proactively to resolve and resubmit unpaid, rejected, or denied insurance claims
- Maintain up-to-date accounting records that reflect any real-time adjustments, refunds, or transfers of responsibility
- Verify insurance prior appointments with accuracy
- Submit insurance claims, pre-authorization and dispute
- Able to investigate or fix former biller's mistakes
- Exemplary communication, organization, and math skills are essential to excel at working effectively with clients and ensuring accuracy in billing
- Customer service, accounts receivable, data entry, and billing experience is advantageous
- Must display a proven track record of meeting firm deadlines and serving as a results-oriented professional
- Working knowledge of billing, accounting, finance, and collections processes is essential
- Associate degree in business, finance, or a related field strongly preferred; high school diploma/GED or equivalent necessary
