Summary

Trexon is recruiting a strategic and innovative IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect to build IT systems that help to solve business problems and improve our efficiency overall. You will collaborate with our team of engineers to design and build Windows, Network, Endpoint, and Security solutions. You will get hands-on with each of our twelve subsidiary companies to uncover both their pain points and their opportunities, and will employ proven methods to ensure all of our IT resources are maximized, supported, and effective. You will deploy a jack-of-all-trades skill, with a breadth of technical knowledge, expertise in at least one critical technical area, and a quick ability to evaluate new technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory and Control of Systems: Partner with all engineers to evolve and streamline system and platform inventories. Rationalize and simplify to improve supportability and scale efficiencies.
  • Hardware Infrastructure Lifecycle: Own and maintain hardware inventories. Facilitate ongoing discussion with leadership to optimize investment at a steady pace.
  • Core IT Security: Understand modern threats and risk landscape in order to support business decisions that must balance productivity and risk.
  • Hybrid Solutions: The nature of our business does not lend itself to fully cloud native solutions. Solutions must be designed to maintain integrity of both Network and Identity edge boundaries.
  • Collaboration: Though not a management role, this is a leadership position in the team. Collaboration, active listening, and alignment to the best option is required to be successful.
  • Onsite Design: Trexon is comprised of businesses located across the US and UK. Onsite travel is required to understand how our systems enable the business to be productive.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive responsibility in IT analyst, engineer, or administrator roles.
  • Previous experience as a team lead or principal engineer/administrator.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Significant experience in network design and administration.
  • Significant experience in Windows endpoint and server administration.
  • Experience in network security design and administration.
  • Experience engineering solutions in at least one public cloud provider.
  • Expert-level understanding of at least one of the above topics: Network design, Windows server, or Network security.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of general Information Security principles.
  • Experience administering Linux server platforms.
  • Experience developing solutions to meet IT security frameworks such as CMMC/NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, or CIS.
  • Professional certifications, including but not limited to network, systems, virtualization, and security.
