Industrial Maintenance Technician II

Summary
This is a first shift, hourly position in the Toledo Maintenance Department, reporting to the Plant Superintendent. This role supports a variety of building and equipment maintenance functions including mechanical repairs, minor electrical work, servicing equipment and resolving hazards throughout the facility to enable safe and productive refractory coatings mixing stations and feeder core manufacturing work cell. Collaborates closely with site leadership, project engineering and continuous improvement leaders to drive improvements and achieve plant objectives.
Requirements:Essential Functions
1. Walk the process with care and observation, engage with the operators on the operating status of process equipment and safety devices to ensure they are supported for success.
2. Provide advanced troubleshooting and timely repair efforts to approach root cause of issues.
3. Lead weekly maintenance meeting that will capture work completed and planned activities for the following week.
4. Utilize Limble software to plan, process and record work orders and maintain accurate spare parts inventory.
5. Support EH&S programs to address risk management and opportunities for continuous improvement and improved safety.
6. Participate in process improvement teams to help drive future projects to a successful outcome.
7. Support the maintenance with vendor management, requisitioning parts and maintaining compliance.
8. Provide support and technical expertise to other functional areas of the business as needed.

3. Possesses strong organizational skills.
4. Possesses strong communication skills both written and oral.
5. Mechanical aptitude and successful troubleshooting capabilities.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong team player, independent worker requiring minimal day-to-day direction or oversight.
Education and Experience
1. Understands and embraces industrial safety programs.
2. +2 years of experience in equipment maintenance role is preferred.
3. Willingness to obtain further education in the areas of mechanical & electrical systems, troubleshooting and project management.

Work Environment
Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet (including scissor lifts and boom lifts) and be comfortable working in confined spaces. Must have the ability to prepare for and work in any outside weather conditions. For example: hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.
Physical Requirements
Medically qualified to wear respirator.
Physical: Sitting, carrying, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing, climbing (ladders of various height), maximum lifting of 100 lbs., with frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Aptitudes: Must possess the ability to understand the meaning of words and their ideas, as well as instructions and their underlying principles. Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
Temperaments: Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform duties under stress, adapt to situations requiring preciseness, and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities. Must be able to adapt to situations involving the interpretation of feelings, ideas, or facts; be able to influence people in the opinions, attitudes, or judgements, and be able to generalize, evaluate, make decisions, and perform repetitive work.
