What You’ll Do:

Responsible for clinically and administratively supervising medical support staff, nurses, and the medication only case managers. Will perform direct client care for clients needing nursing services. Establishes standards that ensure medical resources are utilized at an optimal level, promotes, and restores clients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of client care, directs and develops staff, and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff within SummitStone and the community.   • Plan, develop and implement medical support services, establish staff performance goals, evaluate the effectiveness of established administrative practices.
  • Collaborate with other staff in developing and evaluating treatment programs, including collaborating with the Medical Director around any medical staff team personnel issues or concerns and provide feedback for prescriber performance during evaluations.
  • Attend staff meetings and inter-agency meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing and medications procedures.
  • Maintains nursing and medical support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff. Maintains appropriate staffing levels job coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Responsible for overseeing a budget and use resources appropriately.
  • Provides information to clients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
  • Perform nursing duties including administering IM medications, taking vital signs, assisting with telephone/walk in triage for clients with medication issues, obtain prior authorizations for medications, medication refill requests, assist with lab work, medication inventory processes, and treatment follow-ups.
  • Will complete other paperwork needed to maintain client continuity of care and act as a liaison between client and staff, facilitating timely treatment. Will support prescribers and may work at other sites for coverage.
  • Document in the medical record all medically necessary client care to ensure continuity of care immediately but not later than 48 hours of the service.
  • Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching and counseling client and reinforcing their understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • A minimum of five years of experience in clinical administrative experience in a healthcare organization.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the provision of psychiatric services preferred
  • Two years' work experience in a community mental health setting
  • Two years’ experience supervising and managing staff
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certifications

Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Total Rewards

The typical hiring range for this position based on 40 hr. work week is $83,491 to $100,196 a year, based on relevant years of experience.

Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekend and holidays.
