Maintenance Technician - Facilities Management

Georgia based Cosmo Cabinets, a growing manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinets is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Eatonton, GA.  Our company operates based on our core values of Cosmo C.A.R.E.S. - Communicate, Accountable, Reliable, Excellence, and Safety. The maintenance technician will be primarily responsible for facility improvements, general maintenance, and repairs. Candidates should be able to perform repairs of production equipment, including 480/3 air compressors, fire suppression systems, forklifts, lifting equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, cardboard compactors, and more. Additionally, you will assist in running electrical, general maintenance tasks, and punch lists. As new equipment is purchased, the tech is expected to assist in commissioning that equipment, supporting the maintenance and production team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, determine the root cause of problems and perform repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Coordinate repairs with external vendors as needed.
  • Install, maintain and repair lighting and electrical systems.
  • Assist in commissioning new equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or certification in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable with overtime as needed.
