Adult & Child Health is an integrated healthcare provider in Central Indiana. About this role: The Social Emotional Learning specialist role was created in response to learning loss and social isolation due to Covid-19. Our desire is to add another layer of support to students in Perry Township School Metropolitan School District. This position works with the school admin, behavior specialist and social worker to identify students who need support socially, emotionally, and academically. This position would be focused on providing therapy, skills, and case management services to students and their families at a frequency and intensity that meets their specific treatment needs. We work all year round (even over school breaks) and provide services in a variety of settings - in the school, in the community, in an A&C office building, in the family’s homes, or via telehealth. While we are often faced with challenging cases and crisis situations, we are never on call and have the ability for a flexible work schedule.


The Location and hours: A&C is based in Central Indiana. This position is located in Marion county but working with our Perry Township School Based Team alongside Perry Township Metropolitan School District. This position is year round including school breaks and provide services in a variety of settings - in the school, in the community, in an Adult & Child Health office building, in the family’s homes. Core working hours for Adult and Child Health are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm M - F but this position does have a flexible schedule.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide clinical services, independent living skills and evidence based/best treatment to assigned caseload. Caseloads will be determined through collaboration with school administration and social worker reviewing SEL survey results and academic data.
  • Provide crisis intervention/emergency services by assessing risk, development of safety plans, coordinating hospitalization or any other emergency situations with team leader and school administration.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships by maintaining open and professional communication with Team Leaders, clients/families, other consumers/constituencies, referral sources, staff/team and school administration and social workers.
Requirements:
  • Masters and/or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related behavioral health field.
  • Master's degree and must license eligible in Indiana
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own, insured, transportation.
  • Must be dependable, flexible, trustworthy, and able to work independently while also working collaboratively on a larger team.
