Environmental Operator

Department: Operations

Reports to: Project Manager

Position Summary: The Environmental Operator is responsible for supervising labor crews and job task related to the completion of project requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Knows, understands, and promotes company’s Core Values
  • Participate in Daily Tailgate Meetings
  • Operate Heavy Machinery (ie., Backhoe, dumptrucks, loaders, etc.) safely and efficiently
  • Perform excavation task if required.
  • Perform fueling, greasing, dirt and debris buildup removal and post operation inspection and documentation per machine/shift
  • Thoroughly clean interior and exterior of equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Follow company procedures and policies
  • Participate in developing JSA on job site when working on location with crews
  • Ensure Safe Work Practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Health, Safety and Environment Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Precisions QHSES Management System
  • Report all HSES related incidents
  • Intervene when there is an unacceptable risk to another person
  • Use the Precision STOP process to keep themselves and those around them safe, refusing to undertake work that compromises their health or safety.
  • Support the environmental initiatives and promote the environmental programs to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in any root cause analysis to assist in promoting continuous improvement.

Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years of environmental experience (Oil/Gas/Chem/Steel/Paper/Pulp)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Previous experience operating equipment such as bull dozer, motor graders off road trucks, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and water trucks
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

Work Environment: The work environment is outdoors during the day and occasionally at night. Employee must be willing and able to meet any HSE requirements that may be required by Precision NDT, LLC to perform their job duties in the designated work area.
