GroGreen a partner of Fairway, in Plano, TX is seeking a Automotive Maintenance Technician who enjoys preventative maintenance, grounds-keeping, and repairs. We're looking for a passionate and dedicate candidate who wants to expand their knowledge in our industry.

Must have valid driver's license. This position pays $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair company automotive fleet made up of Diesel and Gasoline vehicles (F250, F450, F550).
  • Preventative maintenance/repair of small horse powered engines and equipment.
  • Perform routine, preventative maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries, changing oil, changing light bulbs, replacement/repair of tires/wheels, and other minor automotive repairs to ensure vehicles are running properly.
  • Learn and understand/repair of ornamental spray pumping systems and equipment; some metal fabrication/welding.
  • Use safety precautions while performing maintenance.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Organize warehouse and accept deliveries.
  • Use technology (smartphone, tablet, etc.) to read and follow routes, order specifications, and enter job details.
What We Need from You:
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • 1 year prior experience as a mechanic with routine maintenance experience is required.
  • Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of small engine repair, 2 cycle equipment, diagnosing equipment/truck problems, minor carpentry and general handyman experience is beneficial, although not required.
  • General understanding of vehicle and small engine electrical systems.
  • Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders 8-12 feet.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without any accommodations.
