We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of relevant experience in electrical estimating, with a proven track record in supporting commercial electrical projects. This role requires proficiency with Accubid and LiveCount software and the ability to manage complex projects from bid preparation to final proposal.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Estimation and Bidding:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial projects, including new construction, tenant improvements, and renovations.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Utilize Accubid and LiveCount software to perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accuracy.
  • Project Support:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review project requirements and provide value engineering solutions.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and addenda to ensure compliance and accuracy in estimates.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and bid proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Cost Control and Analysis:
  • Monitor and manage project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying potential cost savings and mitigating risks.
  • Analyze historical data and industry trends to provide accurate cost forecasts and budget recommendations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, bid proposals, and project correspondence.
  • Prepare and present reports on estimate status, project budgets, and cost analysis to senior management and clients.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring:
  • Mentor and support junior estimators and team members, providing guidance and expertise in electrical estimating practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.


Qualifications:


  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an electrical estimator with a focus on commercial projects.
  • Proven experience with Accubid and LiveCount software.


  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.


  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commercial construction processes, and estimating techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and estimating software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
