About the Role:
- Position: Medication Technician Caregiver
- Location: Glen Park at Valley Village
- Type: Full-time
- Shift: PM Shift 2:30PM - 11PM
- Compensation: Starts at $17/hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly)
- Provide ethical and respectful care to residents
- Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code
- Order and reorder medication for residents, following physician instructions
- Monitor medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator
- Maintain progressive documentation and communication with physicians and medical professionals
- Schedule resident doctor’s appointments
- Work with medical professionals to ensure residents remain as stress-free as possible by managing pain while promoting engagement and independence
- Maintain composure during emergencies
- Ensure a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance, TB test, and CPR/AED certification upon job offer
- Previous experience as a caregiver, familiar with managing 20+ residents within an 8-hour shift
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- 1 year of medication administration experience (Preferred)
- Certified Medication Aide (Preferred)
