Intervention & Testing Coordinator (Full time, exempt)

Summary Description:  The Intervention & Testing Coordinator is part of the network-wide Instructional Leadership Team and works closely with the school site instructional staff to oversee and support the implementation of Grow Public School’s multi-tiered support system and assessment system. The two primary functions of this position are to design, implement, and sustain the organization’s multi-tiered support system (MTSS) as well as facilitate a state compliant, comprehensive assessment system. This role will also directly supervise Learning Lab Leads on each campus. 


Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Duties will include:

  • Coordinates and facilitates the implementation of academic interventions and enrichments for scholars
  • Collaborates with Academic Data Coordinator to maintain a cohesive intervention management system in order to monitor how students respond to interventions and enrichments
  • Ensures and supports schools to fully implement the organization’s Student Success Team (SST) processes and protocols
  • Oversees the development and documentation of Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) 
  • Regularly reviews data to identify students for Tier 2 or 3 intervention support
  • Assists and supports in the monitoring of English Language Learner data in order to reclassify students aligned to the GPS policy
  • Provides guidance, development, and supervision of Lab Leads on research-based strategies and techniques to support students individually or in small groups
  • Facilitates professional development for the instructional team in addressing student learning using the GPS MTSS framework including guidance on strategies, tools, and techniques to be applied during core instruction
  • Supports communication with families regarding student progress 
  • Collaborates with the Coordinator of Family & Community engagement to offer families workshops in support of the academic success of scholars

GPS Testing Coordinator Duties will include: 

  • Develops and coordinates best practices and assessment administration strategies, programs, and support systems for schools
  • Creates annual assessment calendar and oversees its communication to all educational partners 
  • Orders necessary CAASPP materials, oversees the distribution to each campus, and maintains an accurate inventory
  • Collaborates with Academic Data Coordinator to set test administration windows within the appropriate platforms and systems (e.g. NWEA, STAR, TOMs, etc.)
  • Facilitates testing training to appropriate instructional staff
  • Coordinates efforts to ensure each site is equipped with sufficient testing technology and infrastructure
  • Collaborates with school leadership to establish a testing schedule
  • Oversees the review of student information to ensure correct student information, accommodations, and test settings 
  • Ensures testing compliance including proper handling of all secure materials, certification of test administrators and examiners, as well as coordinating the reporting of any test impropriety, irregularity, or breach 
  • Collaborates with sites to monitor test completion for all scholars organization-wide
  • Assists and supports Site Testing Coordinators with the administration of state assessments and local assessments (e.g. NWEA, STAR,&  Common Formative Assessments)


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with leading a system of multi-tiered supports
  • Familiarity with evidenced-based student success team practices
  • Familiarity with testing procedures, data management, educational assessment systems, knowledge of special populations, and evidence-based interventions and enrichments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with school staff, students, and parents
  • Ability to coordinate testing schedules, materials, and logistics for multiple grade levels and schools
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with testing regulations and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to testing administration and data management.
  • Experience working with special populations is a plus


Required Education and Experience:

  • Valid Clear California Multiple Subject teaching credential 
  • Valid Clear Administrative Credential (preferred)
  • Five years’ teaching experience preferred
