This role will involve working closely with the president or account executive to prepare and quote costs for various projects.
Commercial Estimator Job Responsibilities- Collaborate with the president or account executive to gather project requirements and specifications.
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other project documentation to determine accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct research to identify material and labor costs, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Prepare detailed estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate and timely completion of estimates.
- 4-6 years of experience in commercial estimating.
- Strong background in commercial construction, preferably as an HVAC Foreman or journeyman.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and previous experience in HVAC estimating for construction projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting project specifications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
