Position Overview:
We are seeking a high-energy, customer-centric Vice President of Sales and Marketing to lead our global sales teams across all three business units. The successful candidate will exhibit a passion for understanding our customer needs and a drive for excellence in delivering value, whilst adeptly managing complex stakeholder relationships across geographies. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to interface with customers and distributors to find opportunities for sales growth and collaborative development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Marketing Strategy Development: Drive the creation and implementation of cohesive sales and marketing strategies to foster growth with important customers in key markets globally via direct and distribution channel sales. Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales and marketing strategies in alignment with Delphon’s vision and mission. Translate strategic vision into operational goals, ensuring alignment across geographies and business units.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale sales and marketing teams across the three business units, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with global customers in the semiconductor industry, ensuring the alignment of our custom solution providing model aligned with their needs.
  4. Revenue & Profit Growth: Drive profitable revenue growth by securing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and entering new markets or segments.
  5. Performance Metrics: Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze sales and marketing efforts' effectiveness, making data-driven decisions.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of sales and marketing strategies with company-wide initiatives.
  7. Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions and strategy pivot. Lead market research initiatives, in concert with our VP of Business Development to identify gaps and opportunities, shaping Delphon’s offerings accordingly.
  8. Budget Management and Resource Management: Oversee and manage the sales and marketing budget efficiently, ensuring a high ROI on investments.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and refine sales and marketing processes and strategies for better efficiency and results. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring Delphon remains agile and responsive to changing market dynamics.

Incumbent will lead our global sales teams across all three business units (Gel-Pak, TouchMark, UltraTape), exhibiting a passion for understanding our current and potential customer needs. Demonstrate strength in identifying our value while managing complex stakeholder relationships across worldwide geographies. The incumbent must have a strong desire to interface with customers and distributors to seek out opportunities for sales growth, collaborative development and promote best-in class marketing opportunities. Incumbent must also possess a network that can be immediately leveraged and requisite technical knowledge effectively communicating technical needs and product requirements between end customers and Delphon.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the creation and implementation of cohesive sales and marketing strategies to foster growth with important customers in key markets nationally and internationally, via both direct and distribution channel sales.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales and marketing strategies in alignment with Delphon’s vision and mission. Translate strategic vision into operational goals, ensuring alignment across geographies and business units.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale sales and marketing teams across the three business units, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with national and international customers in the semiconductor industry, promoting Delphon’s desire to be their collaborative solution provider of “off the shelf” and custom products and/or solutions.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth by securing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and entering new markets or segments.
  • Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze sales and marketing efforts' effectiveness, making data-driven decisions.
  • Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of sales and marketing strategies with company-wide initiatives. This includes alignment of sales and the customer service groups.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions and strategy pivot. Lead market research initiatives, in concert with Vice President, Business Development, to identify gaps and opportunities, shaping Delphon’s product offerings.
  • Assess and refine sales and marketing processes and strategies, on a regular basis, to enhance efficiency and results. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring Delphon remains agile and responsive to changing market dynamics.

Supervising, scheduling, assigning, monitoring, and evaluating work of assigned staff are responsibilities for supervisory positions. Direct and indirect reports:

Fiscal

• Oversee and manage the sales and marketing budget efficiently, ensuring a high ROI on investments.

• Manage direct reports expenditures ensuring alignment with corporate expense policies and practices.


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required, MBA or equivalent preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record in semiconductor and Photonics industries, or related.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large teams, with a global mindset.

• Proficient in developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to travel internationally as required.

• Maintain 1) reliable and safe transportation to other Delphon facilities or for business travel, 2) valid State-issued driver’s license, 3) proper vehicle registration, and 4) State-required minimum automobile insurance coverage requirement.

The hiring range for this position for a California domiciled candidate is $200,000 to $230,000 per year. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, Bonus, long-term incentive units, and new business commission are part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of health and welfare benefits.
