The Property General Manager is responsible for the successful operation of an SROA property and manages a high-performing team of Associate Managers.

Job Description:

  • Focus on excellent customer service, rapport building and sales functions including cross and up-selling to achieve store targeted revenue projections.
  • Research, define and implement operational improvements in support of increased revenue growth.
  • Motivate, hire, train and develop all Associate Managers to ensure maximum profit potential.
  • Provide a welcoming environment to customers through effective facility maintenance and labor and vendor management.
  • Maintain property appearance and cleanliness. General housekeeping duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
  • Consistently maintain and improve store imaging, impact zones and display areas.
  • Pro-actively handle customer complaints and assist customers with problem resolution.
  • Accurately perform daily close-out procedures, general ledger administration, bank deposits and other accounting functions in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Maintain property by investigating tenant complaints, inspecting vacant units, and completing minor repairs.
  • Ensure that operational systems are in compliance with Company Guidelines.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous storage experience Required.
  • Previous experience managing high volume/ large complex operation
  • Proven leadership experience hiring, training, and developing teams of hourly employees in the retail/service industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication, analytical, time, and conflict management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a small team.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills including the ability to use tact and diplomacy.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
