Job Description:

JSL is seeking a Hardware Engineer who will support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat System Hardware (CSHW) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). The candidate will also perform the following tasks:

  • Develop, analyze, or review the following:
  • Testing and installation procedures to support shipboard installations or troubleshooting efforts
  • White papers for technical enhancements and proposals
  • Capture customer feature requirements for incorporation into future modernization plans
  • Tech Refresh baseline enhancements
  • Provide Engineering Support
  • Provide Shipboard Support, Troubleshooting, and Installation Services
  • Provide support services for land-based facilities
  • Partner with the Government’s Internal Team to successfully transition opportunities from production to sustainment support
  • Support technical interchange meetings and conferences
  • Research, collect, and disseminate metric data.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in the technology industry working with Network Hardware (i.e. Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Cisco Products).
  • Experience with VMware Virtualization software technology, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Red Hat Linux, Red Hawk Linux. Working knowledge of STIG's, IAVAM's, ACAS and WSUS.
  • Experience with reading/interpreting/developing engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Able to write reports and review/develop technical documentation such as technical manuals as well as installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Able to use MS Office software products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and MS Visio.
  • Ability to travel 5-10%
  • An active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in technical writing
  • Advanced understanding of Engineering Processes
  • Engineering Degree desired in specific engineering field and/or minimum three years Engineering Support
  • Industry certifications are highly desirable and could include CISSP, RHCSA, MSCE: Security, MCITP: Enterprise Admin, ITIL V3 Security+

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
