**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and creative Baker to join our team. This role is pivotal as we expand our offerings with the new lunch service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, have a strong attention to detail, and a desire to contribute to our evolving menu.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Bread Production:** Bake a variety of breads daily to support our sandwich and pizza offerings.

- **Desserts & Pastries:** Create and bake a selection of desserts and pastries that complement our menu.

- **Daily Pizza Baking:** Prepare and bake Sicilian-style pizza, ensuring consistency and quality.

- **Recipe Development:** Collaborate with the culinary team to help create new recipes and refine existing ones for our evolving menu.

- **Quality Control:** Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods.

- **Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage inventory levels of baking ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.

- **Training and Mentorship:** Teach and train junior staff members, ensuring that they understand and follow recipes, techniques, and safety standards.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience as a baker in a restaurant or bakery setting.

- Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, and pizza dough production.

- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new recipes and menu items.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Team player with excellent communication skills.

- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

- Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain one upon hiring.

- **Creativity and Innovation:** Ability to experiment with new flavors, techniques, and presentations to keep the menu fresh and exciting.

- Manual dexterity to handle and work with bakery equipment and tools safely.

- Ability to work early mornings or late nights, depending on production needs.

- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach to perform daily tasks.

 

**Work Environment:**

- Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity.

- Must be able to handle pressure and multi-task effectively while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
