Position Overview:

As the IT Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying and preventing defects and issues in company applications, BI systems, and IT systems. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of automated test scripts, project leadership for small technology initiatives, and the training and development of our end users.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications, websites, and IT systems.
  • Execute test cases and scripts manually and, when applicable, through automated testing tools.
  • Conduct thorough testing to identify defects and verify that software meets specified requirements.

Defect Identification and Reporting:

  • Document and track defects, issues, and anomalies found during testing.
  • Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Perform regression testing to verify defect fixes and prevent regression issues.

Quality Assurance Processes:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance processes into the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide quality-related feedback.

Automation:

  • Create, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts for company applications, APIs, and systems.
  • Implement and manage automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with IT project teams to embed automated testing in the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement automated test suites, analyze results, and manage defect reporting and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
  • Continuously enhance and expand automated test suites to increase test coverage.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Prepare and communicate test reports, defect status, and testing progress to project stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of QA processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality assurance.

Project Leadership:

  • Lead and oversee small technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, and develop project plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, assign tasks, and track project progress.
  • Mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials tailored to the needs of end user training across IT projects.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and hands-on exercises to enhance the skills of company users.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in automated test script development, project leadership, and QA management in the IT industry.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
