Your role will involve collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs, creating user-friendly designs, and implementing functional and beautiful websites. Responsibilities:

  • Web Design: Create visually appealing and user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies. Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.

  • Web Development: Have familiarity with PHP and MySQL to accommodate custom functionality..

  • Content Management: Update and maintain website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements on platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace.

  • Web Support: Provide technical support for website-related issues, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving problems. Assist with website updates, backups, and performance monitoring.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Lead Web Developer and other stakeholders to understand website requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Communicate effectively and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Testing & Optimization: Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and fix bugs, improve load times, and enhance user experience. Implement SEO best practices and monitor website performance metrics.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of web development processes, design guidelines, and support procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in web design with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Squarespace, and Shopify.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and CMS page builders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, user-centered designs.

  • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Google Search Console).
