Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team.

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for repair, maintain, replace, and install various heating, air-conditioning, and distribution systems. This position will also carry out minimal maintenance activities to an appreciably complicated level in the area of electrical and mechanical system safety. The facilities maintenance will also contract service providers, supervise, coordinate and sponsor contractors to carry out work activities in relation to service terms of agreement and procedures.

Responsibilities
-Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair

-Ensure a balance of water and air treatment systems

-Work under direction of Maintenance Manager to perform preventative maintenance and activities to facilities and equipment

-Plan and schedule repairs to minimize work down-time

-Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures

-Perform minor plumbing maintenance

-Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work

-Other duties as assigned

Skills
Basic understanding of mechanical pumps

-Must work independently with little supervision

-Effective communication skills both verbally and written

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear

-The employee must occasionally lift up to 100lbs when necessary
