The Azure Cloud Architect will work closely with the Department of Information and Technology and Microsoft Azure Support Teams to design and implement groups, virtual machines, databases, firewall rules, and VPN tunnels from an operational and security standpoint for our Permit Transformation Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup of the Organization's customer-owned environment
  • Create images, virtual networks (VNet), and VPN gateways
  • Create Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) machines based on custom images
  • Setup Intune for the management of VDI machines, assigning them to resources and resource groups in high, medium, and low zones
  • Document the DevOps environment and establish proper access rights
  • Provide knowledge sharing and training to the team during downtime
Basic Qualification:
  • 5 years of experience in Document DevOps environment and setting up proper rights.
  • 5 years of experience - Set up Intune for management of VDI machines, assigned to resources and resource groups in high, medium, and low zones.
  • 5 years of experience—Set up a customer-owned environment, create images, create VNet and VPN gateways, and create VDI machines based on custom images.
  • 5 years of Azure Cloud Architect experience, including custom imaging and VDI/Hypervisor, Intune and MDM management, VNet and Resource Groups, and Azure VPN gateways.
  • Knowledge sharing and training with the team during downtime
  • Demonstrated knowledge of directory services (Azure AD and AD)
  • Great interpersonal and leadership skills - collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and documentation skills
  • On-Prem Architect skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing and management (groups, users, virtual machines, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager / SCCM
  • Thorough knowledge of firewalls (access groups, rules, ports, and specific pinhole connections) and interoperations between technologies
  • Thorough knowledge of implementing secure, best practices access for confidential data and availability between all infrastructures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
