CPA firm seeking a tax leader to help grow our New York City practice. This is an opportunity for a charismatic leader with expertise in international and or real estate tax.
This position can be located in NY Metro or can be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Manage client service relationships
Conduct tax planning
Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates
Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients
Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development
Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects
Advise clients with recommendations on business and process improvements and serve as a business advisor to clients
Qualifications:
Seven (7) or more years of progressive tax consulting experience
CPA
Master's in Taxation, LLM in Taxation or JD a plus
Experience with a large public accounting firm or large law firm
Excellent analytical, technical and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance and consulting
Experience training and developing staff
Subject matter expert in either Real Estate tax
