Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with experience in Hepatology to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing comprehensive care to patients with hematologic conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care and management for patients with liver conditions, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, and other hepatologic disorders.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans with hepatologists, gastroenterologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with current best practices and guidelines.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing patient education on liver health and disease management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and coordinate services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in hepatology and evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.
  • Educate patients and their families about liver disease, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in Texas.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an FNP, with at least 1 year of experience in Hepatology or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of liver diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
  • Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a gastroenterology or hepatology clinic is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
