Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to contribute to our mission at JBSA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and education to staff, deliver evidence-based presentations, and engage in in-service training sessions.
  • Assess and manage patients presenting with common acute conditions, chronic diseases, or minor injuries, adhering to established protocols, clinical guidelines, and in collaboration with physicians when necessary.
  • Encourage preventive health measures and wellness maintenance through annual check-ups, promotion of healthy behaviors, and individualized education and counseling.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among a diverse team to ensure the healthcare team is informed of care plans and actions that benefit patients and their families.
  • Identify situations requiring isolation and ensure that universal precautions are implemented during all patient interactions.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss cases, engage in continuing education, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Successful completion of a NACI background check
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
