Job Summary
Blazing Hospitality is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting. When we hire junior accountants, you will also be responsible for training new staff and monitoring their work for accuracy.
We are growing rapidly and needs someone who loves to be challenged, embraces change, and is an excellent multitasker. Our ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude, while maintaining efficient accounting system. Understanding how business run and problem-solving are important to succeed in this position and advance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
o Full-cycle accounting/bookkeeping skills, including Banking and Cash Management
o Reconciling account balances and bank statements
o Payroll Processing
o Maintaining General Ledger and preparing month-end and year-end close procedures
o Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Payment of State and Local taxes
o Strong understanding of P/L and Balance Sheet
o Managing fixed assets schedules
o Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
o Supervise accounting department and accounting assistants
o Assist in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives
Candidate Requirements:
o 2 + years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
o Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel and/or other accounting softwares
o Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
o Multi-tasking ability between different companies
o Self-motivated and able to work independently
o Excellent communication skills
