Russell Tobin's client, a leading music company is hiring for a Mechanical Licensing Temp in Franklin, TN

The Temp will be an essential part of the team responsible for licensing audio-only recordings and will ensure that our songs are registered properly with mechanical rights societies, record labels and digital service providers.

Employment Type: Contract/ Hybrid

Location: Franklin, TN

Pay rate: $18 - $22/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Provide publishing and mechanical splits - externally via MDX/LCH and email
  • Review data and provide corrections on bulk licensing reports
  • Assist with product setup in our internal database (RECS)
  • Issue statutory mechanical licenses
  • Maintain multiple workflow trackers in Monday.com
  • Request missing documentation for controlled rates

Requirements:

  • Microsoft suite (especially Excel)
  • Basic understanding of music publishing, including copyright & mechanical licensing
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize heavy workload and multi-task effectively
  • Robust computer skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to achieve goals
  • Ability to handle pressure and deadlines

Nice to have:

  • College degree preferred
