They value integrity, innovation, and teamwork, and are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to handle both traditional and Certified Payroll for their construction and government contracting entities.

Job Summary: We're seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage the payroll processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, maintain accurate and timely payroll operations, and have experience with the detailed documentation and reporting requirements associated with Certified payroll compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Manage Certified Payroll processes.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file all necessary payroll tax forms and payments.
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide high-quality customer service to employees.
  • Assist in audits and other payroll-related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Payroll Specialist (CPP or FPC preferred).
  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred but not required.
