Logistics Specialist

Logistics Specialist Benefits

Logistics Specialist Responsibilities

  • Package materials and accessories for national and international shipments
  • Manage vendor relationships (e.g. third party logistics)
  • Photograph loaded tables and upload to internal company filing system
  • Weekly basic machine maintenance on equipment
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse on a forklift
  • Receive and organize incoming inventory and perform quarterly counts

Logistics Specialist Requirements

  • One to two years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of freight management i.e. LTL, FTL
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with customers, coworkers and freight drivers
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the day and move in and out of semi trucks

Supervision: This position has supervision. The employee does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Working Conditions: The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours Monday through Friday. The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Although this position will be in an office environment, at times this position may be required to lift over 25 lbs. The employee will be required to have the ability to stoop, kneel and handle objects for filing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
