Objective:

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and talented individual to join our team as a Luxury Jewellery Category Product Owner to play a pivotal role in our luxury jewellery business. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background project management, and product development, looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting to the Co-founder, you will take ownership of a specific product category, contributing to its growth and success. The successful candidate will work closely with the Co-founder, who will provide mentorship and guidance over a period of 6 months to groom them into a Product Owner role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Category Ownership:

·        Collaborate with the Cofounder and other stakeholders to contribute to the development of the overall product strategy.

·        Work closely with design teams to ensure product assortments align with the brand's vision.

·        Take ownership of your designated product category, actively contributing to strategic objectives.

·        Develop and maintain a comprehensive business checklist to guide category-specific goals.

·        Collaborate with the merchandising team to review, refine, and optimize the product portfolio. Ensure alignment of products with market demand and current luxury jewelry trends.

Project Management:

·        Participate in the planning and execution of category projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

·        Coordinate with cross functional teams to drive product initiatives from concept to market.

Buying Activities:

·        Support buying activities across all product categories, including product assortment creation, buying strategy development, and order process completion.

·        Conduct regular reviews with HQ teams to optimize buying strategies.

Market Intelligence and Competitor analysis:

·        Lead efforts to gather market intelligence specific to your product category. Research market trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions.

·        Conduct in-depth analysis of the competitive landscape within the luxury jewelry industry for your assigned product category.

·        Extract actionable insights from competitor strengths, weaknesses, strategies, and market positioning.

Marketing Strategy and Support:

·        Work closely with marketing teams to develop category-specific support materials and marketing strategies. Execute category-specific events and promotional activities as needed.

Performance Metrics:

·        Review key performance indicators (KPIs) with the sales team to track progress toward sales targets. Contribute to achieving sales goals, such as the number of doors.

Data-Driven Excellence:

·        Measure the effectiveness of strategies within your product category using data and analytics and optimize processes for maximum efficiency.

·        Create presentation decks and analyses for executive teams, providing insights on strategic topics. Effectively communicate with C-level executives in HQ and regional teams.

 

Experience and Skills required:

·        Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

·        3-6 years of demonstrated expertise in marketing and project management or a related role, with a focus on the luxury jewelry industry.

·        Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.

·        Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives in HQ and regional teams. Present decks and analysis for executive teams, providing insights on strategic topics.

·        Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

·        Passion for the luxury jewelry industry, with a deep understanding of product categories and trends.

·        Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to drive strategic initiatives with a results-oriented focus.

·        Smart and proactive thought process with a strong desire to learn and grow.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
