JOB TITLE: Beverage Cart Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage

REPORTS TO: Beverage Cart Supervisor, Food and Beverage Director

FLSA: Non-Exempt

 

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing food and beverages to players on the course, in addition to various requests from the Clubhouse that golfers may need during their round. Members should receive professional, prompt, and friendly service throughout their golf round. This job description may be changed or updated at any time without notice.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Follow proper procedures for bad weather conditions.

· Must be in clean, neat uniform, and always wear visible name tag.

· Must be able to inform the member or guest that they can no longer to be served alcoholic beverages, in a respectful but authoritative way, if necessary.

· Perform daily opening and closing inventory.

· Checks with Pro Shop Manager on daily play schedule.

· Operate beverage carts in a safe and responsible manner.

· Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons out on the course.

· Required to check and thoroughly examine the identification of anyone that appears to be under the age of 21.

· Must check with F&B Manager or Beverage Cart Supervisor and Golf Shop before leaving the property.

· Maintain an inventory sheet that reflects daily sales.

· Ensure the chits are close to the correct Member.

· Check expiration dates on food and beverage products.

· Rotate and organize products and inform management to order new products, when necessary, based on par levels.

· Confirm cart is fully operational before starting rounds, (gas, air in tires, oil etc.).

· Park and hose down cart at the end of the shift. Carts must always be kept clean.

· Must have knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.

· Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with Georgia Law.

· Keep beer coolers and snack boxes clean and organized.

· Must be available to work weekends and major holidays.

· Responsible for locking up all liquor at the end of the evening.

· Follow all Safety guidelines.

· All other duties as assigned.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.

· Work in very cold or hot, humid, and noisy environments.

· Able to lift, pull or push 30 pounds.

· Continuous repetitive motions.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS:

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Bartending Experience Required.

· Johns Creek Pouring Permit required.

· TIPS Alcohol Certification. - will supply application upon employment.  

· Must have the ability to deliver a high level of customer service.

· Has the ability to safely operate a beverage cart.

· Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

· Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

· Able to lift more than 20 pounds.
