This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Table 87 is a family-owned and operated business, renowned for being the home of the original coal oven slice. Since 2012, we have been a cornerstone in Brooklyn, providing both locals and visitors with a taste of authentic coal-fired pizza. Our commitment to quality and community has made us a beloved staple in the New York dining scene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Ensure all restaurant stations operate smoothly and meet our standards of quality and efficiency.
    • Monitor the floor during service to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently, anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.
    • Implement policies and protocols that maintain high restaurant operation standards.

  • Team Leadership and Staff Management:

    • Oversee and manage restaurant staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties to the highest standard.
    • Train new staff members and provide ongoing training for existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Understand and manage staff scheduling effectively, ensuring all shifts are covered with optimal staffing.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations set forth by the Department of Health.
    • Regularly review and implement necessary changes to improve safety procedures.

  • Customer Service Excellence:

    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring that quality and service standards are consistently met.
    • Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring that each guest leaves with a positive experience.
    • Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.

  • Store Closing Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for closing procedures including securing the premises, setting alarms, and ensuring the store is locked and secure after hours.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Floor Manager or similar managerial role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to high customer service standards.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus.
