Position Description

We are looking to hire a highly efficient billing specialist to oversee tasks assigned to the revenue cycle department . The billingspecialist's responsibilities include identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues. You should also be able to code diagnoses and procedures correctly.

To be successful as a rbilling specialist, you should be able to manage both staff and patient complaints. Ultimately, a top-performing billing specialist should seek ways to improve the functioning of the revenue cycle department.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the revenue cycle's functionality through regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and holding one-on-one meetings to ensure a high level of efficiency and quality in our billing processes.

Additionally, this role involves reviewing and assessing financial hardship applications and being a point of contact for handling patient complaints related to billing and collections, ensuring a patient-centric approach in resolving these issues effectively.

Ideal candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of psychotherapy billing practices, experience in revenue cycle management, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in our billing operations.

Position Requirements

  1. Associate's degree in medical billing, finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
  2. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software.
  3. Proven experience in healthcare billing.
  4. Sound knowledge of health insurance providers.
  5. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  6. Excellent customer service skills.
  7. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
