Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Hammond, LA

Hourly Rate: $30 - $35 Hr BOE

Schedule: Full-Time

We represent our client in Hammond LA currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their Company. Candidate should have experience operating CNC Machine both milling and lathe. Able to read blueprints, program machine, do setup, and complete machining. Company offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $30 to $35, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Program the CNC Machine, Setup parts, and operate CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or processes to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used and time spent on jobs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC milling and lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Experience with tooling selection, setup, and tool changeovers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work full-time hours and occasional overtime as needed.
