We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative with a background in fabrication to join our team at M & M Sales & Equipment. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our tools and equipment used by fabrication shops to new and existing customers. You will need the tenacity to see projects through to their end and navigate roadblocks from customers and vendors as you earn their trust and business. You will need to be able to manage a high level of details, document cost savings, and report progress back to management and the customer on a regular basis.

This position requires a desire to sell, a servant’s heart, an honest attitude, a willingness to learn the products M & M represents and selling the value of M & M Sales to your customers. This route covers a larger area, and you will be responsible for managing your travel and facetime with customers.

The intended sales area will cover the DFW Metroplex and west, including the Texas panhandle and SE New Mexico. You will support our existing sale team in existing accounts as a fab specialist. Running tests, sharing application knowledge, and growing the fabrication vertical in existing customers. You will also be prospecting and securing new fab customers. Some of these will be managed by you long term, some will be managed by customer service and others will be managed by the existing salesman who covers this customers territory.

This position will start with 1-2 weeks of making joint calls in the Odessa area with our existing sales team and then another couple of weeks working out of our Benbrook branch. During this time, you will be learning what we sell, how we interact with customers and the way the office runs so that you can be more efficient when you are out on the road. You will be expected to read up on products and complete online training classes for 3-5 vendors in the first 6 weeks. You may also be asked to read a book or two on sales and discuss it with Jewell or Jeremy. You should also expect a training week with Fein (one of our key suppliers) within the first 6 months.

 

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their fabrication needs and provide solutions

- Prospect and identify potential clients in the fabrication industry

- Qualify leads and build pipelines of opportunities

- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets

- Provide product demonstrations and technical support to customers

- Present fabrication solutions and value propositions to prospective clients

- Prepare and present sales proposals and quotes to customers

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities

-Support machining application specialists in shops that have large fab division or to expand verticals in existing manufacturing facility

 

Qualifications:

- Ability to develop and maintain a strong network of relationships

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards (negotiable if a person has the right personality and drive)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Willingness to travel and meet with customers as required
