Job Description:

As a Controls Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the control systems within our client's manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  1. Control System Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical control systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  2. PLC Programming: Edit and modify PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs for automated manufacturing processes.

  3. HMI (Human-Machine Interface) Configuration: Configure and maintain HMI systems for operator interaction with control systems.

  4. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical and control system issues promptly to minimize production downtime.

  5. Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules to prevent unexpected equipment failures.

  6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of control system modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.

  7. Safety Compliance: Ensure that control systems adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.

  8. Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to support overall manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and HMI configuration.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and control system principles.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and participate in on-call rotations.
