ASSISTANT CENTERS’ MANAGER

Salary Range $80,000 to $90,000 annually

Exempt - Full Time Position

DEFINITION: The Assistant Center Manager assists in the oversight of the operations of center programs; Supports the operations and administration of the center programs including, staff selection, training and development as well as personnel matters; Acts as a liaison with school districts and outside agencies; Is responsible for monitoring sites including staffing and enrollment. Ensures center compliance with CA Code of Regulations, Title 22 and Title 5.

SUPERVISION OVER: Roving Teachers and Substitutes; Assists with the supervision of the Center Site Supervisors and other Center staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Education: BA or BS degree in ECE, Child or Human Development; plus 6 administration units and 2 adult supervision units.
  2. Credential: Program Director Permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing preferred. Minimum requirement: Site Supervisor Child Development Permit
  3. Certification: Current Infant, Child and Adult CPR, First Aid and Preventive Health Care Practices required
  4. Experience: Minimum four years of experience in a center-based child development program with at least three years as a site supervisor. Preference given for supervising full day center based programs. Experience with DRDP, DRDP Online, Learning Genie, CLASS, QRIS, and Teaching Pyramid.

Other Requirements: A can-do professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure is essential. Must be punctual and reliable. Must be Able to work cooperatively with other departments and the management promoting a positive atmosphere. Is proficient in developing and maintaining cooperative staff relationships including skills in resolving conflicts.
