Summary: As the lead Financial Analyst for the Company’s ColdQuest cold storage facility, you will lead specialized finance related activities in support of the operations of the facility as well as other financial analyses and product costing activities supporting the core manufacturing business of the Company. Your areas of responsibility will entail tracking financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to forecast and providing decision support to senior management via accurate reporting and analysis to drive improved performance, efficiency and profitability. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As the lead financial analyst for the cold storage warehouse, responsible for all budgeting, financial reporting, planning and analysis of cold storage warehouse operations and related pricing. Evaluate performance against KPIs and provide insightful recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Produce monthly reports, which include key performance metrics, financial results and variance reporting against budget and forecast.
  • Assists in management of customer inventories to ensure customers are meeting contract obligations and operational efficiency of cold storage strategies.
  • Evaluation of profitability on accounts by analyzing rates against operational cost to drive efficiencies.
  • Review customer contracts for the cold storage warehouse to understand business profile and rate structure needed to support business.
  • Analyze industry trends, current best practices, operational efficiency opportunities, etc. and make recommendations based on those trends.
  • Support various pricing initiatives for the core manufacturing business including inventory costing, tracking obsolescence, vendor bill backs and disposition of such inventory.
  • Provide various reporting and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and project support to senior management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, data analytics or warehouse operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and details.
  • Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to investigate, familiarize and master new data sets quickly.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with WMS applications and Business Intelligence applications such as PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc. is desired.
