Job Description

The Logistics Accounts Manager I is responsible for coordinating and managing over-the-road logistics
services for clients. They work closely with clients to build long-term relationships and liaise between the
client and the carrier. Their responsibilities include negotiating with carriers to obtain better shipping rates,understanding market trends, and serving as the primary point of contact for the accounts they service. LAM I are considered “cradle to grave” brokers, as they maintain an equal focus on sales and operations.

The first 6 – 9 months will be sales intensive. LAM I are expected to understand the ideal customer profile, create and maintain a leads list, and make 100+ cold calls a day. Through this outreach they will build their book of business from the ground up. LAM I will serve as a “one-stop-shop” for their clients – they will find the client, quote their shipments, procure and dispatch a carrier, and track the load from pick-up to delivery. Once delivered they may be asked to assist with billing or administrative questions. LAM I are paid a base salary, and are eligible for commission based compensation

Start date: October 14, 2024

Office Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Monday - Friday(no weekends)
This is an in-office position. We are not accepting applications for remote workers at this time.

Reports To

All LAM I report to the General Manager and company owners.


Key Responsibilities

- Build a book of business from the ground up through sales calls and email outreach.
- Manage the day-to-day needs of the accounts they onboard.
- Follow up daily with current accounts.
- Generate and provide quotes quickly.
- Negotiate rates with both customers and carriers.
- Serve as a one-point-of-contact system for their customers.
- Understand our TMS, and other tools and software used for sales and operations.


Qualifications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain relationships
with a wide range of personalities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask, troubleshoot and
operate independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to make 100+ cold calls a day.
- Experience with Microsoft products.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

This is a fast-paced, high-stress job we need team members with a competitive attitude, strong negotiation skills, and a desire for financial freedom. Experience is welcomed but not required, in-house training is provided
