Job DescriptionJob Description

Our Iowa-based client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydraulic Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining hydraulic performance documentation, designing, sizing, selecting components, and writing specifications for hydraulic systems. This role involves interpreting and drawing hydraulic systems and schematics, evaluating hydraulic components efficiently, troubleshooting potential issues, and developing testing protocols for physically testing hydraulic system designs. Responsibilities:

  • Create, size, select components, and write specifications for hydraulic systems, ensuring accurate and efficient designs
  • Maintain hydraulic performance documentation and develop clear, precise schematics
  • Efficiently evaluate hydraulic components, troubleshoot potential issues, and optimize system performance
  • Develop testing protocols, conduct physical testing, and collaborate with teams to integrate hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components

Requirements:

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/hydraulic disciplines
  • Proficiency in mechanical applications and CAD skills with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling tools
  • Preferred: IFPS Certification (or other equivalent hydraulic certification) and three years of hydraulic design experience
  • Integration skills for electronics, electro-hydraulic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Strong system analysis skills and in-depth knowledge of hydraulics (pumps, valves, cylinders, and plumbing)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of self-discipline, motivation, and teamwork ability
