Respected San Rafael non-profit currently seeking a compassionate and reliable bilingual individual to oversee their food donation distribution and volunteer programs.   • Schedule: Full time M-F, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Location: 100% On site in Central San Rafael
  • Background: Clear criminal background check, fingerprinting + TB test prior to start

 

Bilingual Volunteer Coordinator duties…

  • Greet visitors and clients, answer phones, transfer calls, and provide information and referrals as needed in a welcoming manner
  • Manage volunteer inquiries and verify volunteer dates, maintain required volunteer documentation, and track volunteer donated hours
  • Track weekly food donation inventory
  • Oversee early morning delivery of food/stocking two days per week
  • Professionally manage volunteers to ensure smooth service delivery by onboarding, training, mentoring, and directing
  • Accept donations and provide donor receipts for in-kind donations as needed
  • Provide English/Spanish translation

 

Bilingual Volunteer Coordinator requirements…

  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity dealing with vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness
  • Experience managing volunteers
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain accurate records and logs
  • Ability to work in a reception area with frequent interruptions while responding to a high volume of requests
  • Excellent verbal communication, computer and accurate data entry skills
