Position Summary
The Installer will mount, service, and repair signs in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. Their
duties include preparing poles, buildings, billboards, and other structures for installations and then
mounting the signs.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Communicate with other employees and departments in a calm and professional manner.
● Perform a wide variety of site surveys and sign installations within our service area.
● Routinely use cordless power tools (impact drivers & drills), signmakers tools (squeegees,
application and removal fluids, exacto and utility knives), and ladders (up to 17’ in height).
● Operating and maintaining all tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
● Ensuring that sign installation processes meet client’s requirements.
● Loading and transporting signs, tools, and materials in a company vehicle.
● Preparing the site for installation by removing old signage and preparing the surface or structure.
● Ensuring the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation of the sign.
● Mounting and installing the signs in accordance with all safety protocols.
● Clearing debris and materials from the site after each installation.
● Performing maintenance and repairs to signs, as needed.
● Adding photos of completed work to our internal recordkeeping system.
● Check in daily with the lead installer to ensure tasks are completed.
● Be available to travel to out of state locations as the business needs.
● Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety protocols and business ethics codes.

Travel Requirements
● Requires up to 75% of travel to client sites, project locations, and other business-related
destinations.
● Travel may involve overnight stays. Must be willing and able to spend extended periods away
from their primary work location.
 

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
● Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
● Good knowledge of vinyl application techniques.
● General handyman skills, including the ability to safely use a wide variety of hand and small
power tools.
● Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently.
● Demonstrated attitude and ability to produce high quality results.
● Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labor including lifting, climbing, and working at
heights.
● Ability to read a tape measure.
● Ability to interpret and understand all work orders and installation instructions.

Education and Experience
● High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
● Previous experience in sign installation is preferred.
● Previous vehicle wrap experience is a plus.
 

Physical Demands and Work Environment
● Prolonged periods of standing, bending, or climbing ladders.
● Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 or more pounds.
● Ability to work in confined spaces.
● Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and load / remove substrates.
● Ability to use light power equipment.
● Regularly required to talk or hear.
● Frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
● Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms.
● Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the
ability to adjust focus.
● Frequent communication with clients via phone, email, and occasionally in person.
● May experience periods of high workload and tight deadlines, especially at the end of fiscal
quarters or during special promotions.
● May need to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs and sales
events.
