Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sprayshop, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Apply PU paints and other finishes to MDF and a variety of other materials used in the fabrication of retail displays and pop-ups.
- Oversee the preparation, priming, sanding, and finishing processes, ensuring surfaces are properly treated and finished.
- Maintain and calibrate spray equipment to ensure optimal performance and consistent results.
- Supervise and train a team of spray technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve the best results.
- Monitor quality control throughout the spraying process, making adjustments as needed to ensure the final product meets company standards.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure finishes align with the overall vision.
- Maintain a clean and organized sprayshop, adhering to all health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, new products, and techniques to continuously improve the quality of our finishes.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Sprayer or in a similar role, with a strong background in spraying PU paints.
- Experience with spraying MDF and finishing retail displays or pop-ups is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of spray equipment, techniques, and finishing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications and technical drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a spray environment.
