In this role you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring company environmental programs and policies for the site. 

 

 

 

 

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Ensures compliance with government and environmental regulations (EPA). 

Ø  Conducts employee training. 

Ø  Responds to emergencies, investigates incidents, and recommends corrective actions. 

Ø  Provides technical guidance on environmental issues for operations and equipment. 

Ø  Completes required federal, state, and local government reports.

Ø  Functions as a subject matter expert (SME) to plant team members on environmental and regulatory issues and participates in incident investigations and root cause failure analysis.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

v  BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field of study

v  Minimum of 4 years work experience in analysis of environmental regulations as applied to the mining, construction, manufacturing, or related fields.

v  Experience with Title V air permitting required.

v  Experience with consent decrees highly preferred.

v  Must have strong leadership skills and proven effectiveness in leading a strong safety culture and environmental compliance.  Demonstrated ability to act as a support partner to operations and maintenance.  Ability to work collaboratively to find solutions to problems.

v  Detailed knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and permits including, but not limited to, CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI.

v  EPA Opacity Reading certification, DOT Certification, HAZWOPER certification and ISO 14001 a plus.
