Residential Drivers safely navigate a heavy-duty truck through neighborhoods collecting garbage from residential homes.

Compensation:

$19 - $21 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a heavy-duty truck in Huntington, TX, US, collecting garbage from residential homes following Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
  • Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment, documenting checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
  • Immediately report any safety concerns or service-related issues to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.
  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Live Oak Environmental, LLC.
  • Collaborate with Route Supervisors/Managers to enhance route efficiencies and identify best practices.
  • Inform the Route Supervisor/Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Report service interruptions, such as blocked containers, closed lots, streets, or potential safety hazards to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.
  • Relay customer requests to Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch promptly.
  • Identify and report any containers in need of repair or replacement.
  • Complete and submit customer tickets as necessary.
  • Follow route assignments diligently, complete end-of-day documentation, and the check-out process as instructed.
  • Carry out all duties as scheduled by the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch, providing assistance to other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Not required.
  • Experience: Two (2) year(s) of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required

  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successfully completed pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
  • 10-hour shift.
  • Day shift.
  • Overtime.
  • Weekends as needed.
  • Year-round work.
