YAI has openings for Part-time Community Habilitation Specialists working in the Manhattan. Join our dynamic team working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with developmental disabilities in their families' homes.
Counseling
Training in activities of daily living
Behavior management
Community integration
Advocacy

These positions require strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with families.

Schedule:Part-time: Monday to Friday 3:30pm-7:30pm; day hours on Saturday.Flexible days/hours - can work from 1 day a week to up to 6 days a week

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED ; some college is a plus 

Work or life experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred 

Ability to participate in 3-5 weekdays of paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire  

Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions (provided FREE of charge by our Premier HealthCare clinic)
