We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our home health team You will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders
- Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
- Provides services in speech pathology in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
- Records and reports client’s reaction to treatment and any changes in the client’s condition to the physician and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Instructs and advises client and family of the phases of speech pathology in which they may assist the client
- Assesses the client’s communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory, and problem-solving activities, hearing and speech fluency and quality
- Evaluates, and regularly reevaluates, the speech pathology needs of the client
- Initiates, develops, implements, and makes necessary revisions of the client’s plan of care
- Conducts OASIS assessments as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with communication disorders
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and patient demeanor
Requirements:
- Licensed in the state as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Speech Pathology
