About the Role: As the Lead Process Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in our operations team, driving efficiency and innovation. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Manage daily startup and troubleshooting of multiple injection molding machines.
  • Supervise trial runs for new parts.
  • Diagnose and resolve injection molding process issues to minimize downtime, reduce scrap, and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of critical injection molding tasks.
  • Perform robotics and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Oversee tooling repairs and coordinate with tool shops.
  • Assist in reviewing tooling design and manufacturability.
  • Order necessary supplies for presses and mold repairs.
  • Maintain and update documentation in the ERP system related to schedule changes.
  • Participate in morning meetings and collaborate with the site leadership team.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

 

Who We're Looking For: We need hands-on candidates who thrive in a team environment, love problem-solving on the production floor, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your qualifications should include:

Required:

  • High school diploma minimum; a degree is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in a similar injection molding position, depending on education.
  • Expert-level injection molding process troubleshooting.
  • The ability to start up a new mold from scratch.
  • Hydraulic and basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Continuous improvement experience (scrap reduction, efficiency increases).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • RJG Certification.
  • Robotics and/or PLC experience.
  • Experience in automotive or fast-paced manufacturing.
  • Tooling experience.
  • ERP system experience.
