The Sales Consultant position is a critical role which serves our diverse client base of custom home builders, architects, interior designers and affluent homeowners. Our showrooms provide luxury door hardware and plumbing fixtures to the most discriminating client/professionals in FTW, which have high expectations of what they will experience when doing business with us. For the designer/builder client, our showroom is a reflection of their brand as a partner for making proper technology, quality and design selections. For the home owner, designing a home is a special event and they want the product specification experience to be wonderful. We supply to some of the most exceptional properties in North Texas.

Our sales consultants are truly offering a consultative service to professional clients that will establishes trust which lasts for years. This is not a job but an industry career. Our average tenure in these Sales Consultation positions is over 20 years with our company. Showroom work hours are 8:30am –5:30 pm, M-F, included is an hour lunch break. Saturday potentially however by appointment only.

Tasks and Duties:

  • Consult with the designers, architects, custom builders and home owners in the showroom.
  • Review architectural plans and ensure proper form, fit and function of the products selected.
  • Offer the customer choices of products to satisfy their vision and meet their budget expectations.
  • Enter sales orders into the companies software and build digital proposals to the customer's expectation.
  • Job site visits as needed to assist in the specification process and to ensure quantities are correct.
  • Inspect the product prior to delivery to the job.
  • Be the project manager for the services and products we are supplying. Organization and communication skills are key.
  • Develop and manage trusted, long-term relationships with builders, designers, architects and home owners.

Qualities of the Candidate:

  • A desire for serving others with a “teacher's” heart. Positive personality. Be intentional and proactive to ensure customers have a positive experience.
  • Consultative selling style with an interest in developing your reputation along with long-term repeat business.
  • Ability to sell and communicate with affluent customers.
  • Dressed appropriately with a professional appearance.
  • Ability to read architectural plans is a plus.
  • Be comfortable selling many different product lines. Multitasking
  • Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Experience with door hardware and plumbing fixtures is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous sales experience with high-end, luxury furniture and retail a plus

We offer specialized sales training as needed. We offer a competitive base salary along with uncapped earning potential through our monthly commission plan. Although this position will have a desk and resources in our showroom, both the Dallas and FTW showrooms can be utilized as a tool to facilitate a sale. This position is both inside and outside sales. You will be expected to visit custom home sites with your client as well as attend industry networking events and parties on occasion.
