Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using Fusion 360 software. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret specifications will be crucial in ensuring accurate and precise drawings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and a passion for drafting to contribute to the success of our organization.

Duties:

  • Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or architects
  • Utilize AUTODESK FUSION360  to create 3D models of mechanical components, systems, or structures
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to review and revise drawings as necessary
  • Conduct research and gather information to support the drafting process
  • Perform calculations and analysis related to system design, assembly, or structural integrity
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the drafting process

Qualifications:

  • Experienced scenic technical design professional.
  • Leading technical design and carpentry teams.
  • Experience in theatrical construction techniques with a focus on advanced build methodologies, materials, and structures. (wood, metal, welding, hardware, plastics, laminates, fabrics)
  • Working knowledge of Fusion 360
  • Creating 3D models/renderings.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
  • Able to adapt to constant change.

Experience in structural engineering, fabrication processes, etc. is also preferred but not entirely mandatory.

Please list any experience in the live production field if applicable (theater, concert/stage design, set design, etc.)

Please include a portfolio, or examples of your 3D work along with a resume.

This is a full-time position and offers no remote work capability.
